Position: Concierge (Part-Time)

River Park Square

    If you enjoy meeting the public and thrive on delivering excellent customer service, consider joining our team at downtown Spokane's premier shopping and entertainment center- River Park Square. You will work approximately 20-24 hours per week assisting center merchants and patrons with various tasks. 
 
What you will do...
  • Provide outstanding customer service by selling gift certificates, checking out strollers for the kids.
  • Greet and assist the public by providing directions and information to customer and merchants in a courteous manner.
  • Communicate and coordinate any requests or issues with other River Park Square departments.
Who you are...
  • You have previous retail or customer service experience.
  • You have a high level of knowledge about the downtown Spokane area and events in the area.
  • You have a basic knowledge and use of computers; including but not limited to utilizing internet search options, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • You are able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and evenings.

Position: Direct Marketing Campaign Manager
Position open until filled
S-R Media/The Spokesman-Review

    The Spokesman-Review is currently seeking to fill a full-time Direct Marketing Campaign Manager. This position plays a critical role in the strategic execution of marketing initiatives including circulation acquisition, retention and consumer engagement. The role is responsible for the development and implementation of creative materials, requesting and verifying technical set up, communicating processes for execution, selecting vendors and obtaining resources for implementation to deliver on marketing goals and plans.
 
What you will do as a Direct Marketing Campaign Manager:
  • Execute all direct marketing campaigns including print, online, email, telemarketing, social media and other channels as appropriate.
  • Work with the Marketing Database Manager to determine data selection and merge/purge execution to ensure appropriate segmentation for campaigns.
  • Leverage Gannet (GIADC) to design creative campaigns via the web interface.
  • Manage campaigns to ensure optimal response.
  • Understand processes surrounding testing, lead selection, execution, reporting and analysis.
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors such as mail houses, printers, email service providers, Gannet etc.
  • Track and report on campaign results and provide recommended actions.
  • Work with the Database Marketing Manager to optimize the marketing database.
Qualified applicants will be able to:
  • Work in a manner which is collaborative, detail-oriented and result-driven.
  • Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Meet tight deadlines and maintain accuracy.
  • Apply best practices for Direct Marketing.
  • Communicate effectively/efficiently and had excellent relationship building skills.
  • Problem solves and thinks analytically.
  • Applicants have a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent related work experience; or combination of education and experience. Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years multi channel Direct Marketing experience, including direct mail.

What we want you to do...
  • Work 19-hours per week including weekends and two week days with shifts beginning as early as 1:30 a.m.
  • Assist with various customer service functions and administrative office support.
Who you are...
  • You have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation.

Position: JANITOR NIGHT COORDINATOR

Centennial Real Estate Investments

    Centennial Properties is currently recruiting for a full-time night shift Janitor Coordinator. This position will work Sunday-Thursday from 8:00pm - 5:00am. In this position you will supervisor the night shift Janitorial staff, order parts/equipment needed, and maintain records. Additionally, you will work alongside the night staff and clean company work spaces including floors, furniture, equipment, walls and windows. You will empty trash receptacles, collect recyclable materials, clean restrooms/shower rooms and assist with winter ice and snow removal. The position requires that you have the ability to work in an efficient and productive manner, have the ability to multitask and work well in a team environment. Previous janitorial experience is required as well as basic math and computer skills. Requirements include the ability to lift 50 pounds, have a valid driver's license and a High School Diploma or GED.
    We offer a starting salary of $11.50 per hour plus benefits and a matching 401k!

Position: MACHINIST/MILLWRIGHT

S-R Media/The Spokesman-Review

    The Spokesman-Review is currently seeking a full-time Machinist/Millwright to troubleshoot, repair mechanical problems, manufacture and rebuild parts in the production area of our paper. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong work ethic, has the ability to setup and operate manual machine shop equipment to close tolerances (lathes, mills, ECT) and who has a working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. This position will repair, make, and install parts for all of our company's production equipment. Days and hours are as follows: Tuesday-Thursday 5:30pm-2:00am, Friday and Saturday 6:30pm-3:00am.
 
What you will do as a Machinist/Millwright:
  • Learn the functions of, troubleshoot and repair production equipment
  • Make and install parts for all production equipment
  • Be self motivated and work independently
Qualified applicants will be able to:
  • Ability to operate basic machine shop tool
  • Work safely on all machining equipment
  • Work unsupervised and with other departments to solve equipment problems
  • Welding: included are, wire feed MIG, TIG, Plasma cut, and oxy-ace
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and repair manuals
  • Understanding of disassembling, repair and/or machine/manufacture parts, and reassemble plant equipment
  • Work safely in an environment where there is exposure to moving parts, electricity, high places, high noise levels, wet and/or humid conditions, chemicals, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions
  • Work in an environment where there is frequently standing, walking, stopping, kneeling or crawling and able to left and/or move up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Applicants have an associate's degree or two years education from a technical school, or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Position: PUBLIC SAFETY MANAGER

    Spokane's premier shopping and entertainment center, River Park Square, is looking for a person who is passionate about safety, has the ability to lead and mentor a team of Public Safety Officers.   • Manage and implement departmental goals to improve and maintain public safety objectives
  • Plan and direct the activities of the department
  • Review, investigate, and evaluation incidents at the facility and provide technical and professional education on the incident to the individual officer and/or department
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the Public Safety Department's work plan; assigns projects and programmatic areas of responsibility; reviews and evaluates work methods and procedures; meets with key staff to identify and resolve problems
  • Respond to resolves difficult/sensitive patron, vendor and mall employee inquiries/complaints in emergency and non-emergency situations
  • Enforce safety policies for patrons and mall employees
  • Assist in performs patrol duties acting as liaison between merchants and RPS
  • Perform related duties as required

Position: TRUCK DRIVER (Part-Time)

    The Spokesman-Review is looking for an energetic, reliable, motivated and safe part-time Truck Driver. The truck driver will be making local deliveries to our company distribution centers, load and unload the truck, and complete other assigned tasks. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working on a team, thrives in a fast paced environment, prefers to work late evening to early morning hours, and enjoys physical labor. This is the perfect position if you're looking for some additional work, or a part-time job that fits within daily life.
 
Responsibilities as a Driver:
  • You will load and deliver newspapers to distribution locations
  • You will stage newspaper bundles to be picked for delivery that morning
  • You will work primarily in the late night to early morning hours (approx. 9:00 pm- 5:30 am)
  • Qualified applicants must be able to work unsupervised
Qualifications:
  • You have a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record. (Driving records will be checked on all final candidates. Only those with clean records in the last 3 years will be considered for employment)
  • Have the ability to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Have the ability to drive a truck under 26,000 GVW. Candidate's who will drive a truck over 26,001 GVW will be required to have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

    The Spokesman-Review is the largest, most used and most trusted news and information provider in the Inland Northwest. We look for dedicated employees to support the production and distribution of our paper every morning of the week. As a member of the Transportation and Delivery department this position ensures that our newspapers are delivered on time to readers.

    This part-time position will work less than 19 hours a week starting at $11.60/hr for non-CDL candidate and $11.85/hr for those candidates with a CDL.
